ROCHESTER, New York –The RIT baseball team fell to Ithaca, 16-10, 12-4, in Friday’s Liberty League game.
In Game 1, the Tigers took a 2-1 lead after the first inning but fell behind 7-3 after the second. Ithaca scored the next six runs over the next four innings before RIT pulled one back for a 13-4 game after six. Ithaca added a pair in the seventh. RIT scored six runs in the eighth and the Bombers capped the scoring with one run in the ninth.
In a 12-4 loss in Game 2, the Tigers took a 2-0 lead after the first. Ithaca responded with a nine-run inning in the second. The Tigers got a pair in the fourth for a 9-4 game until Ithaca added three in the sixth.
MATCH 1 – ITACA 16, RIT 10
