Athlete from Queretaro won 2 medals in the Pan American Championship

The athlete from Querétaro Diego Diaz won two silver medals in the Peru Pan American Championship on the judo discipline in the division of 81 kilograms, sub 21 category.

“It was quite complicated, but at the same time fun, it was a new experience, a competition that had already happened several times and the result was not what we wanted, but we are going to move forward and prepare ourselves for much more,” said Diego Díaz, an athlete from Querétaro.

This is the fifth time that the athlete from Querétaro, Diego Diazparticipate in the Pan American Championship where in 2017 and 2019 he was in fifth place and in 2020 he obtained his first medal which was bronze, while in 2021 he failed to pass the qualifying rounds.

Regarding the preparation for this competition that the athlete from Queretaro had Diego Diazconcentrated on the National Center for the Development of Sports Talents and High Performance (CNAR) next to another judoka from Queretaro who is in the higher category, Gilberto Cardoso. The two athletes from Querétaro are part of the Mexican Judo Team.

Now the athlete from Querétaro will concentrate on Queretaro to compete in the Macro Regional which will take place in 2 weeks and then will seek to concentrate with the Mexican Judo Team in a camp that will function as preparation for the World Cup that will take place in Guayaquil, Ecuador.
