The blues are looking for a new victory in front of their fans in the return of Joseba Etxeberria to the red and white facilities

Maintain the good tone shown in recent games and endorse it with a new win that allows them to stay alive in the fight to maintain the category. That is the watchword of Urritxe’s dressing room for the complicated duel they face this Friday in Lezama against Joseba Etxeberria’s Mirandés. The victory against Ibiza, as well as the very good feelings shown against Las Palmas and Zaragoza, make Amorebieta continue to believe that their options, although scarce, are still viable. Amorebieta has seven games ahead of them to try to reduce the gap of seven points they have with Málaga and be able to leave the relegation zone.

The accounts continue to come out for the zornotzarras, but for them to balance they must urgently collect points. And Lezama is the most propitious setting for it. In his borrowed fiefdom, Amorebieta has been very reliable throughout the course. All that rival who has scored in the rojiblancas facilities has done so sweating the fat drop. But the blues want to go one step further and turn their house into a vital fort in order to maintain the category. Mainly because Lezama will be the scene of four of the seven finals that remain ahead of them.

reunions

A house that the coach of his rival this Friday night, Joseba Etxeberria, knows very well. The one from Elgoibar returns to the rojiblanca factory at the controls of a Mirandés whom he has revitalized since his arrival on the wild boar bench. He caught the rojillos flirting with the relegation zone and has left him virtually saved in eight days. Two defeats, a draw and five victories is the balance of the ‘rooster’ with Mirandés, who links five consecutive days without losing and comes to this duel with morale through the roof after winning the Burgos derby.

But ‘Etxebe’ also knows the entrails of Amorebieta. In Urritxe he had his first experience as a coach outside of Lezama. He was in charge for half a campaign in the 2017/18 season before making the jump to Segunda with Tenerife. And he also knows many of those who make up the Zornotzarra squad today. In that sense, it will be a beautiful and special game. Also for Haritz Mujika, who played for Mirandés for several campaigns, enjoying promotions with the wild boars.

tactical battle

The red box is a dynamic team, with a lot of depth on the wings and ease to generate danger. They know all this in Urritxe, where in this short week they have worked carefully to prepare for the duel. A meticulous tactical work by Haritz Mujika and his coaching staff that may bring some other novelty in the way in which the one from Pasajes places his pawns. He already did it wisely against Las Palmas, although without a reward in the form of points.

The coach of the zornotzarras has already advanced that they will try to take advantage of the spaces left by the Mirandés sides behind them to do damage. And that is precisely where Mujika put the most emphasis, on the need to refine the shot facing the rival goal. A disease endemic to Amorebieta throughout the campaign. Aim aside, the key for Amorebieta will be to be incisive, sharp again, overwhelm the Mirandés players with their pressure and not let them move the ball with the ease they usually do. Something like what they did against Paco Jémez’s Ibiza.

In a match in which it is only worth winning because time is extremely pressing, Amorebieta is confident of having the support of its fans despite the inconvenience of the date and time. Haritz Mujika has asked the fans to “make an effort” so that they are present in Lezama and carry their own. Mirandés, by the way, will also have a large representation in the stands, since the 450 tickets that have been made available to the wild boars have been sold.
