100€ is the price of a license and equipment. The county council of Seine-Saint-Denis voted to grant financial aid for the practice of sport for college students.
This check of 100 euros is reserved for students enrolled in 5th gradeand will be effective from September 2022.
No income condition
The county council wanted “support and help” the clubs and sports associations of 93, “hard hit by the crisis” of Covid-19. Since 2019, enrollment is plummeting among young people aged 11 to 16: -10% of licensees in football, -22% in gymnastics, -42% in judo… The number of college students enrolled in UNSS (National School Sports Union) also fell from 20,000 to 16,000 (-22%).
Those are 19,000 students from 130 public colleges of the department, who will be able to benefit from this “5th grade sport pass” (PS5), no income requirement.
