50,000 euros fine: insults to the referee, mouth guard thrown on a fan, the note is salty for Miles Bridges

There was better to end the best season of his young career. Author of a first-choice season with the Charlotte Hornets and above all a serious candidate for the title of best progression of the year, the strong winger Miles Bridges (24) lost his mind during the play-in lost against Atlanta (132 -103).

While his team was led by 31 points by the Hawks of Trae Young, the player was excluded by the referees, but especially lost his temper when returning to the locker room. Chambered the Atlanta supporters, especially one, Bridges had replied by sending his mouth guard to the main interested parties, but it was ultimately a teenager who involuntarily suffered the gesture of humor from Charlotte’s number 0.

Soon after the meeting, Bridges apologized on social media. “I was aiming for the guy who was yelling at me and I hit this young girl. This is clearly unacceptable on my part and I take full responsibility for it… You know me, I don’t act like that and I never get angry like that (…) I’m ready to pay for it the results. I hope I can get in touch with the girl and offer her a sincere apology and do something nice for her.”

Action, reaction: the NBA reacts strongly

We could logically expect a firm response from the big league. And it didn’t miss. Miles Bridges was fined 50,000 euros by the NBA. Just a few hours ago, the body had already imposed a very hefty fine of nearly 30,000 euros on Patrick Beverley (Minnesota Timberwolves) after his provocations against the Clippers at the start of the week.

It remains to be seen whether Miles Bridges’ sanction could be further increased. If the mouthguard throw was punished, the former resident of Michigan State University could be suspended in particular after his two technical fouls against the refereeing body.
