Young people rise in rank

After two difficult seasons linked to Covid restrictions, the Beaune-la-Rolande judo club has seen a good recovery for this year with around fifty licensees, including many beginners.

Good news for the future of the structure and the formation of young shoots.

A belt as a reward

Symbol of their progress, about thirty students passed a grade at the beginning of the year, divided between the white/yellow, yellow and orange belts. All brilliantly validated a technical test and were rewarded for their attendance.

On Friday, Laurent Jeuffroy, teacher, gave each student their new belt, in front of a large audience made up of parents. Laurent Jeuffroy who recently ended his career, punctuated by several national, continental and world titles in judo kata. He won a last world title in Portugal with his brother Michel last year.

Remember that lessons take place on Fridays from 6:15 p.m. to 7 p.m. for children aged 5 to 7 and on Mondays from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Fridays from 7 to 8 p.m. for children over 8 and adults.

It is possible to register with the club to practice judo throughout the sports season. The Beaune Judo Club trains at the municipal dojo of Beaune-la-Rolande.
