The Hungarians of Veszprem logically dominated Vardar Skopje 28 to 22 in the first leg of the Champions League on Thursday evening in North Macedonia and took a good option for qualification in the quarter-finals. The Montpellier, held in check in the Porto room (29-29) when they led by four goals with five minutes remaining (28-24), will have to fight at home in six days to see the quarter-finals of the queen of European handball competition.
