Three international classes for the next school year in Saint-Joseph

A priority for languages, international sixth class, fifth year class and an international general second, will soon be given for the future start of the school year in the establishment.

The sixth and fifth international classes will welcome all students who wish to intensify language learning and of course native English speakers. The project was recently presented by Didier Siran, the headteacher (he is replacing until the end of the school year). “Beyond language learning, the establishment sets up an international course that extends from middle school to high school”, he explains.

Concretely, English lessons will go from a base of 4 7 hours per week weekly hours. There will be two additional hours of English language lessons and one hour dedicated to conversation per group of 10 students maximum and supervised by an English-speaking facilitator.

The non-linguistic subjects of the college are not left out : they will also integrate some notions in English.

An intercultural experience

In the fifth year, the international class pupils will go on a trip abroad and in the third year, they will do an exchange. Internships in third-grade companies can also take place in English-speaking countries.

Pupils who follow the course will take an oral exam at the end of the third year as part of their National Diploma of the Brevet des collèges. If they succeed, they then obtain the DNB international option.

On the high school side, the second general will also see an increase in the number of hours of English per week. Remember that all Bac pro Laboratories and Forest students can do internships abroad via the Erasmus Plus program, open from the first class. They also have the opportunity to take the TOEIC Test, a reference certification recognized by universities, companies and institutions. “.
