Tamaulipas shines in Texas basketball league

VICTORIA CITY, TAMAULIPAS.- Regina Tovar, a basketball athlete from Tamaulipas, closed a great district and area season in the United States high school league as she became champion and was named MVP of the competition.

Regina Tovar plays with St. Joseph Academy Brownsville, Texas and in her district and area, she faced high schools from Laredo, Corpus and the city of Brownsville itself, which they beat to win the title.

During this tournament he participated in a total of 22 games in which he added an average of 14.5 points per game, as well as 4.4 assists in each game.

In total, 320 points were achieved by the thrower, so it was decisive for her team to win the title.

Regina has had a good sports process, so much so that in addition to standing out at the collegiate level, she is also part of the U-17 Mexican National Team and for now she is in the process of being on the final list of said team that will participate in the World Cup. .
