Strong final sprint: Brose Bamberg wins against Crailsheim

Basketball Bundesliga team Brose Bamberg won their catch-up game against Hakro Merlins Crailsheim 91:81 on Tuesday evening. It was the third win in a row for Bamberg. The game was balanced for a long time. Only towards the end could Upper Franconia pull away with a lead of up to 15 points at times.

2,600 spectators in Bamberg’s Brose Arena

More than 2,600 spectators watched the game in Bamberg’s Brose Arena. The most successful throwers for Bamberg were Omar Prewitt and Akil Mitchell with 16 points each. Bamberg is now in 10th place in the table and will meet the Fraport Skyliners from Frankfurt at home on Sunday from 3 p.m. After the win against Crailsheim, Bamberg still hopes to take part in the playoffs.

Medi Bayreuth before the game against Alba Berlin

The second Upper Franconian team, Medi Bayreuth, has to play fifth-placed Alba Berlin on Monday evening. The Bayreuth team is currently 11th in the Basketball Bundesliga (BBL).

The two Upper Franconian rivals only met directly last weekend. Brose Bamberg won the game against Medi Bayreuth with 84:71.
