Oliver Naesen is damaged on the back, broken collarbone for Debusschere and Frison | Straight through Flanders

Unfortunately, in the twists and turns in the Flemish Ardennes, there was a lot of falling again.

Frederik Frison (Lotto-Soudal) slammed into the asphalt in the run-up to the Knokteberg and broke his collarbone.

Also Oliver Naesen (AG2R-Citroën) was involved in that crash. He was left with scrapes on his left shoulder and knee. Naesen also sustained bruising to his back, which is under further investigation.

Brutal bad luck was there too Jens Debusschere (B&B). He also broke his collarbone after a tumble. Things are not going well for Debusschere this spring, because in February he was also slowed down by a corona infection.

Also our young compatriot Laurence Rex (Bingoal-Pauwels Sauzen-Wallonie Bruxelles) was one of the unlucky ones in Waregem. His collarbone and shoulder dislocated after a fall. The Ronde is a question mark for Rex.
