NBA suspends Domantas Sabonis for one game

Sacramento will play Denver tonight without Domantas Sabonis. As reported by the NBA, the center of the Californian franchise has been suspended with one game for aggressively confronting and contacting a referee during the game that the Kings lost to New York Knicks, in which Sabonis ended up expelled.

The arrival of Sabonis just before the closing of the transfer market was seen as a bet to at least be a team of play-in this season. It’s not going well for them. After 11 games with the inside player in his ranks, the balance with him on court is 4-7, which leaves them four games behind the tenth place occupied by the Pelicans.

Regarding his individual numbers, the reality is that he is fulfilling. At this point Sabonis is averaging 17.4 points, 12.8 rebounds and 5.9 assists, figures that should serve to understand that he can be an important part of the team for the future.
