NBA market, DeAndre Jordan signs with the Philadelphia 76ers

After splitting from the Los Angeles Lakers, the center DeAndre Jordan has decided to sign with i Philadelphia 76ers for the rest of the season. The yellow-purple had released Jordan to free up a spot on the roster, which was used to sign DJ Augustin. The Sixers, looking for a backup of Joel Embiid after Drummond’s departure, have therefore decided to focus on the veteran. The news was reported by Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

The Philadelphia 76ers had hired Willie Cauley-Stein with a 10-day contract to make up for Joel Embiid’s lack of a backup center. The Sixers have a vacancy on the roster to include DeAndre Jordan, however they will release Cauley-Stein once his contract is terminated. Jordan took part in 19 games as a starter this season before being barred from Lakers rotations. He has so far averaged 4.1 points and 5.4 rebounds per game.
