Oklahoma Thunder
118 – 136
Atlanta Hawks
Atlanta picked up a 3rd consecutive success in the NBA. Winners 136-118 on the Oklahoma City floor, Clint Capela’s Hawks took a serious option on 10th place in the Eastern Conference, the last which will give access to “play in” (pre-playoffs).
The Georgian franchise, which has won 8 of its last 11 matches, has a record of 39 wins for 37 losses with another 6 games on its program in the regular season. The New York Knicks (11th / 34-43) and the Washington Wizards (12th / 33-43) therefore have no room for error.
Atlanta forced the decision in the 1st half (85-58 at the break). She was able to count once again on an untenable Trae Young, the All Star leader having managed 41 points and 8 assists. Brilliant 2 days earlier against the Pacers with 22 points and 15 rebounds, Clint Capela was more discreet: the Geneva interior scored 4 points and 11 rebounds against the Thunder.
