Proud to be Olympic classes! All day Thursday, as part of the Health and Citizenship Education Committee, the Departmental Handisport 71 Committee carried out an intervention to address disability through sports practice.
Each of the pupils of the 5 5th grade classes was introduced to disabled sports by putting themselves in a handicapping situation through three workshops, boggia, archery and wheelchair basketball. A video also made it possible to discover and discuss Paralympic activities. 4 speakers from the Departmental Handisport 71 Committee were present this day at Anne Frank College to introduce the Olympic and Paralympic movement, to raise awareness of disability among college students but also to change their view of it.
