Chieti Basket 1974 chose the new coach after Massimo Maffezzoli’s exoneration. Marco Calvani, 59, from Rome, will lead the team in the season finale. Calvani has several experiences after having led the Virtus Roma to then move on first to Montecatini and then to Pesaro. Then the experiences in Scafati, Trapani, Casalpusterlengo, still Virtus Roma, Sassari, Naples, Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto, Reggio Calabria, Recanati and Bergamo. The new coach signs today with Chieti Basket 1974 and on Monday he will be officially presented at a press conference.
