The regional qualification took place in Arborea to access the national final of the unified junior and senior Italian Cup at the end of April at the Palapellicone of the FIJLKAM Olympic center in Ostia. The Olbiese club of Maestro Angelo Calvisi with 5th dan participated with two athletes: Simone Rosas in the 60 kg and Carlo Altana (several times Sardinian champion) in the 66 kg category. The two athletes performed well in the competition, despite the long absence from the competitive mats.
