Fourteen Bretons were in the running on Saturday for the French D1 championships in Paris, but these were not successful, like Timo Brandenburg. The German from Shueikan Concarneau was unlucky in the draw, as he fell, not without competing (1 waza ari to 0), against Méane Korval, who was to become French champion a few hours later – 60kg.
Winner of the Northerner Malaury Dubus for her entry into the competition, the Brestoise Louise Saout (-52 kg) could not do anything against the Mulhousienne Aya Louchene in the 3rd round.
In the same category, Cassandre Houedry (JC Marches-de-Bretagne) was beaten by future bronze medalist Safeine Gues (Lyon). Continuation of the competition this Sunday, with in particular Lyse Versmisse (-78 kg).
