Jeonju, Jeollabuk-do, held a groundbreaking ceremony for Eco-City Complex Community Center

[아이뉴스24 이은경 기자]Jeonju-si, Jeollabuk-do announced on the 28th that it held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the Eco-City Complex Community Center in the presence of Jeonju Mayor Kim Seung-soo and Chairman Kang Dong-hwa, as well as the Jeonju City Council members, Assemblyman Kim Seong-ju, and local residents.

Eco City Complex Community Center aims to open in 2024 to realize sports welfare and improve quality of life for eco city residents. It is planned to be built as two buildings, a multi-purpose sports center and a resident cultural space with a size of 1,976 pyeong.

The multi-purpose sports center is equipped with a 25-meter-long, 6-lane swimming pool, and a multi-purpose gym where you can enjoy volleyball, basketball, and badminton.

In the case of a resident cultural space, it will be built as a cultural facility that residents can freely use, such as administrative space, a small library, a community care center, a resident autonomous program room, and an outdoor terrace.

Mayor Kim emphasized, “We will make efforts to make the Eco City Complex Community Center into an administrative, sports, and cultural base loved by residents, making Jeonju a city people want to live in and a city they want to stay.”
