Intense CDMX Judo Selection training, towards federated and National events CONADE 2022

With all their spirits up, members of the Judo Selection of Mexico City (Judo CDMX), carried out their preparation training for events of the Mexican Judo Federation and CONADE 2022 National Games.

This practice, which was also attended by coaches from the capital team and special guests, took place in the dojo of Deportivo “Hermanos Galeana”, of the Gustavo A. Madero Mayor’s Office, where, in addition, part of the team received their representative uniforms from the CDMX Judo Selection.

For this day, the first stage of the special training began shortly after 10:00 a.m., with the children’s team, who were directed by Sensei Alondra Pérez and Javier Torres, together with Jesús Rosas, president of the Association of Judokas of the CDMX.

In this session, the practice focused on newaza tactics (techniques on the floor), especially for child practitioners who achieved first places in the last Games in Mexico City, heading to the regional stage for the CONADE 2022 National Games.

After a couple of hours, this phase of the training came to an end, but even so, the children’s practitioners’ spirits remained for a series of recreational activities.

Immediately, it was the turn of the members of the youth team who, like their younger teammates, arrived with a great spirit for practice.

After a warm-up, Sensei Víctor Hugo Ortega was in charge of opening the practice, by sharing his experience with certain movements to unbalance and project an opponent.

In this regard, he considered this type of training “great”, since it is an opportunity to bring together excellent practitioners and competitors, with at least three coaches who provide knowledge and strategies.

To this, he indicated, practitioners with experience in arbitration are added, with which different situations that must be avoided are analyzed, with which the level of each training is increased.

The series of exercises continued for just over an hour, until it was the turn of Sensei Jaime Flores, who focused the teaching on a series of certain newaza techniques, making the training more intense.

However; the same intensity seemed to motivate the practitioners more, who were rotating to practice with their partners, and even with the same coaches.

After a dozen fights on the floor, it was up to Sensei Jesús Rosas to finish the training with other submission techniques on tatami.

To close this great day, sports uniforms were delivered to a part of the members of the Mexico City Judo Team, which were delivered by the CDMX Sports Institute.
