Galatasaray announced that it had to give up the transfer of Nigerian-American female basketball player Arike Ogunbowale, which she brought to Istanbul yesterday.
The yellow and red club reported that the transfer did not take place due to the 2022 budget rejection decision taken at the Galatasaray General Assembly.
The statement made on the official website of Galatasaray is as follows:
“We regret to announce to the public that we had to give up on the transfer of Arike Ogunbowale, who came to Istanbul on March 27, 2022, due to the budgetary constraint made in the 2022 budget rejection decision taken at the General Assembly of Galatasaray Sports Club on March 26, 2022, without signing.”
