The Argentinian Facundo Bagnis (82nd) began his participation in the Masters 1000 de Indian Wellsa contest that is played on a hard surface and that distributes more than 17 million dollars in prizes, with a good victory over the Swiss Henrik Laaksonen (87th) by 6-3 and 7-6 (4).
The 32-year-old Rosario used an hour and 32 minutes to get Laaksonen out and in the next instance he will collide with the South African Lloyd Harris (32), who enters the second round of the tournament
So far in 2022, Bagnis has posted several good results, as he overcame former World No. 1 Briton Andy Murray at the ATP Melbourne, fell in the first round of the Australian Open in a big five-set match with the Chilean Cristian Garin and recovered his level in Santiago, reaching the quarterfinals after losing to the Spanish Albert Ramos Viñolas.
