Desmond Bane calms things down with Julius Randle

The end of the game between the Knicks and the Grizzlies a month ago was marked by an incident involving Desmond Bane and Julius Randle. During a time-out, the interior of the Knicks had approached the bench of Memphis to pretend to listen to what was said and to recover some information.

An attitude that did not really please Desmond Bane, who then pushed Julius Randle out of the arm, causing a scuffle to begin. Both players had suffered a technical foul in stride. Desmond Bane had the last word by scoring the 3-point basket sealing the victory for Memphis, while Julius Randle had collected a second technique synonymous with expulsion 30 seconds from the end.

A month later, as the two teams prepare to meet again, Desmond Bane had the opportunity to ease tensions and recall the reason why he had reacted in this way.

“It’s quite simple. We are always discussing, talking about what we were doing. So it’s just a matter of respect.”he clarified, adding that although the case has happened before, he had not seen many situations like this.

Public enemy number 1 despite everything

As soon as the match was over, Ja Morant described the incident as “secondary”, and Desmond Bane confirmed the group’s state of mind, calm but determined to win before this reunion.

“We enter the field to win. I’m focused on us, the Grizzlies and everything it takes to win a basketball game. So there’s no animosity.”he continued.

The Grizzlies are therefore trying to focus only their energy on the game, especially since Julius Randle has regained his feelings in recent weeks, notably with a point of 46 points, and that he will be public enemy number 1 tonight at the FedEx Forum , against the Knicks who remain on three straight wins.

“He is physical. You have to know him well, and make it difficult for him.slipped Jaren Jackson Jr. “He’s a good player. You just have to respect his game and make it difficult for him to score, not get in trouble with him and not play on the physical dimension. We know how much he wants to play physically.
