Corinthians Steamrollers coach projects team debut in So Paulo Football League

Corinthians Steamrollers, an American football team, debuts in the SPFL (São Paulo Football League) this Sunday at 10:15 am. At CT Meninos da Vila, in Santos, Timão plays its first game against São Paulo Storm. In preparation, the American coach Lee Golden Wells designed the classic.

“I know Coach Clouston is going to put São Paulo Storm on the right path and that’s why it’s going to be a tough game, so we need to be focused and ready to match the intensity in a game full of rivalry“, said the commander of the Parque São Jorge team to the website “American Football Brazil”.

“The pandemic has been hard on everyone and I think all teams agree that we are all excited for the championship to come back into our lives right now.”

The opponent is led by Daniel Clouston, former head coach of the East Zone club. Now on the other side, the professional talked about his old team and admitted that playing against Corinthians is not easy.

“Corinthians has a great tradition, coach Lee has a vision and style of play that will be talked about. This season we will bring a lighter style of training and playing, where players have fun, but are also very competitive on the field. Everyone knows that a game against Corinthians will never be easy, our attack and defense coach are working hard to face this with determination and seriousness, and leave the field with the victory”, he commented.

The classic sets up one of the biggest rivalries in national American football. In retrospect, the two teams have already faced each other three times for the SPFL, and Timão came out with two wins.

For fans interested in watching Sunday’s match, tickets will be on sale at the venue for R$20, or can be purchased in advance with Steamrollers.
