Colombian National Team thrashes Ecuador and qualifies for home runs of the South American Women’s Sub 17 | Colombia selection

The Colombian National Team led by Carlos Paniagua won its third consecutive victory in the South American Championship on Monday and did so by overwhelming Ecuador 4-0, with goals from Juanita Escobar, Mary Álvarez, Karla Torres and Ana María Guzmán. The tricolor maintains a perfect score in the competition and secures itself in the final home run, in which it will seek its place in the World Cup in India. Now, they are getting ready to close the group stage against the hosts, Uruguay.

It should be remembered that two teams from each group will advance to the final quadrangular and three teams will advance to the U-17 World Cup that will be in India in October.

The Colombia Women’s U-17 National Team played its third match of the CONMEBOL South American Group Phase of the category that takes place in Montevideo, Uruguay, defeating its similar team from Ecuador by 4 to 0.

The goals of the Colombian team were the work of Juanita Escobar 12 minutes into the match. Later, at 16 minutes, captain Mary José Álvarez scored the second goal from the penalty spot. Later, at 39′ of the first stage, Karla Torres scored a great mid-range goal. Finally, at minute 91 and in added time, Ana María Guzmán sentenced the match 4 to 0.

With this victory, Colombia is in first position in Group A with 9 points and +13 in goal difference after three games played, achieving 100% effectiveness, and thus ensuring early classification for the final home run.
