Chelsea FC: Because of Abramovich calls – Tuchel scolds his own fans – football

Bad scenes for a good game.

Actually, after the clear 4-0 victory of his Blues at FC Burnley, there was no reason for Tuchel to get upset after the game.

Nevertheless, the coach became clear after the game. And against their own fans!

Before kick-off, the whole stadium showed solidarity with the victims of the Ukraine war, with the audience and players clapping for a minute. Some supporters of the London club called out the name of Roman Abramovich (55) several times.

The Russian was the owner of the club until the end, withdrew due to British sanctions against Russian oligarchs after the start of the Ukraine war and is now selling Chelsea. For Tuchel, Abramovich’s homage to his own fans was out of place.

The coach: “This is not the right moment for it. If we show solidarity, we should do it together.”

And further: “We get on our knees together. When an important person from our or any other association sadly dies, we hold a minute of respect. This is not the moment to convey other messages. It’s the moment to show respect. That’s what we want to do. As a club, we need our fans to commit to that minute of applause.”

Under Abramovich, Chelsea became English champions five times and won the 2012 Champions League. Despite his friendly relationship with warmonger and Russian President Vladimir Putin (69), some Chelsea fans and former players regret his departure.

Ex-captain John Terry (41) thanked him on Twitter after his resignation, describing the former owner as “the best”.

At the push of a button, Abramovich’s club, which owned the club for 19 years, cannot really break away.
