SAN GIOVANNI Hostilities open today for the conquest of the A2 women’s basketball Italian Cup 2020. Eight teams participating, 4 for each of the two national groups. The north includes: Crema, Udine, Castelnuovo Scrivia (Alessandria) and Brixia Brescia. The south: Bruschi-Galli, Spezzina, Florence, Umbertide. Each race will be held at the Palazzetto Manlio Benedetti in Udine. Opening match today at 13.45 with Crema-Umbertide, followed by Bruschi-Brixia Brescia at 16. Knockout matches. The semifinals will be held tomorrow on Saturday 5th and the final on Sunday 6th at 5pm. The favorite is the battleship Crema, which has won the last four editions of the Italian Cup Final Eight. In the last edition, Bruschi lost the semifinal. But this year the girls of the patron Salvatore Argirò are a better complex. The patron warns: “I believe that if we manage to beat the listed Brixia today, we will be on the right track, and we will be able to reach the final. If our athletes play as they are capable, they will make it.” If the starting quintet has a good approach to the challenge, Bruschi can do well.
