We met Christian Massé educator in the ELVL football club.
Christian, where does this passion for football come from?
Sport has always been a desire, and above all a passion. During the school period I was interested in all sports, individual or collective. I practiced cross-country for some time with good results but I had to stop for health reasons. In the 80s, I joined the Valroufié football club as a player and as a referee.
From player have you gone to educator?
I am still at the service of sport as an educator and leader at the Entente Lamagdelaine Vallée du Lot (ELVL) football school, accompanied by Gérard Mialet who officiates as president of the football school. By virtue of my functions, I represent the Lot District. With the pandemic we have lost numbers and we are starting on new bases with a group of about ten children in the U6-U7 category. Some left us to join other clubs, including that of Cahors. For lack of a substantial workforce, our little players had to resign themselves to joining the clubs of neighboring municipalities.
How is life at the club?
We lack volunteers to supervise our young people, we are recruiting educators and players.
What objective for the 2022-2023 season?
We think we have the strength to register two teams in U6/7 and U 8/9.
