Barça: Clément Lenglet has made his decision!

The upcoming arrival of Andreas Christensen at Barça did not discourage Clément Lenglet. The French international has every intention of staying in Catalonia as revealed by the Spanish daily Sports world. He hopes to impose himself under the orders of Xavi Hernandez, at least to benefit first from a more consequent playing time.

It is true that the player trained in Nancy is very little used by the Barcelona coach. Only holder four times in La Liga, Lenglet suffers from the comparison with Ronald Araujo, one of the most promising players in his position. Very often lined up alongside the experienced Gerard Pique, Xavi seems to have found his typical hinge. Clément Lenglet appeared only 18 times in Barça’s 41 meetings in all competitions (827 minutes).

With a contract that ends in 2026, Clément Lenglet (26) does not see himself leaving FC Barcelona. The latter recently played his 150th game in Blaugrana colors against Osasuna, playing the last 28 minutes. The central defender has been with the club since 2018 after his transfer from Sevilla FC.

In view of the next World Cup, we could have thought of Clément Lenglet leaving this summer to seek a starting place in another club and thus give ourselves the means to be called up by Didier Deschamps in the France team.
