A podium for the Archers of the Crozon peninsula at the Mixed Trophy in Guilers – Crozon

For the first time this year, the Archers of the Crozon peninsula took part, on Saturday, in the Mixed Trophy, in Guilers, organized by the French Archery Federation since 2018. Florian Phelep and Amélie Vaillant, beginners in their first year of license, finished third out of five teams entered. There were also seven teams registered as non-beginners. This Mixed Trophy is based on a mixed team tournament made up of a man and a woman belonging to the same category and the same club. Four categories are open: neo-licensee, recurve bow from the second year of license (all categories), compound bow from the second year of license (C, J, S1, S2, S3) and barebow from the second year of license (all categories).

Loyalty in the viewfinder

With more than 30% of women, the federation aims to rely on diversity in order to create a dynamic and retain practitioners. For several years, mixed team shooting has been implemented in Olympic shooting, in France and internationally. This event was also included in the recent Tokyo Olympics.
