The 2022 World Men’s Strongest Championships will take place in Finland from 13 to 29 May. Group A matches will be played in Helsinki and Group B matches will be held in Tampere.
The Latvian national team has been drawn into subgroup B, which will also include Finland, the United States, the Czech Republic, Sweden, Norway, Belarus and the United Kingdom.
Canada, the team of the Russian Olympic Committee (ROC), Germany, Switzerland, Slovakia, Denmark, Kazakhstan and Italy will play in subgroup A.

The Latvian national team will face the US hockey players in the first game on May 13, the Finnish Olympic champions will have to play on May 14, the Norwegian national team will be on May 16, the game with the Czechs will be scheduled for May 19, the Belarus national team will play on May 20, – with Great Britain, but in the last game of the subgroup on May 24 will have to cross the sticks with the Swedes.
In the 2021 World Championship, which was held in Riga, the Latvian national team ranked 11th.
The Canadians became the world champions in 2021, beating the Finnish hockey players in the final, and the bronze medals were won by the US national team.
