The spectacular hole in one by Miguel Ángel Jiménez

Miguel Angel Jimenez is co-leader of the Cologuard Classic of the PGA Tour Championship along with American Jeff Sluman. Both signed a first run of 66 strokes, six under par. The man from Malaga starred in a great day that had its moment culminate with a hole in one on the par 3 of the 7th hole.

He stood on the tee and with a great hit sent the ball to the green, after giving three bounces, he rolled straight into the hole: a hole in one of 190 meters that he celebrated, after picking up the ball, with his traditional dance.

Jiménez thus achieved his first hole in one on the senior circuit. He is the golfer with the most holes in one on the European Tour. He made it to 10 during the 2015 BMW PGA Championship and broke the tie with Colin Montgomerie. The first was achieved at the 1990 Emirates Airline Desert Classic.

At PGA Tour Champions the hole-in-one record is held by Miller Barber, Graham Marsh and JC Snead. Barber’s with six.
