The Real Madrid bus, greeted with a shower of objects upon arrival at San Mamés

The Real Madrid bus, upon its arrival this afternoon at the San Mamés stadium, has been received with a rain of cans, glasses and bottles by the Athletic fans present in Calle del Licenciado Poza, the usual place where the most fiery local fans liven up the preview of the matches. As a consequence of the launch of these objects, a double moon has ended up broken, but without consequences for any of the members of the white expedition.

The car, which was taking Ancelotti’s pupils to the interior of the Bilbao stadium, has seen how they were waiting for it in its surroundings dozens of Athletic fans that they have begun to throw all kinds of objects at them although, luckily, the damage has only been material.

This type of incident is not the first time it has happened in the current edition of the Copa del Rey. In the round of 16 between Real Sociedad and Atletico Madrid, on January 19, the rojiblancos bus suffered several damages when it was hit by objects thrown by San Sebastian fans.
