The Playoffs – With great performance by Josh Allen, Bills crush Football Team

In a game valid for week 3 of the 2021 NFL season, the Buffalo Bills hosted the Washington Football Team this Sunday (26), at Highmark Stadium, in Buffalo, Pennsylvania and “crushed” the opponent winning the duel by 43 to 21.

QB Josh Allen put on a real show in the game, throwing for four touchdowns, 358 yards and even running with his own legs to score another TD.

In addition to Allen, Buffalo’s receiving corps was unstoppable with Emmanuel Sanders catching for 94 yards and two TDs, Dawson Knox catching for 49 yards and a TD, Cole Beasley for 98 yards and Stefon Diggs for another 62.

The defense was another determining factor in the home side’s victory, intercepting opposing QB Taylor Heinicke twice, in addition to forcing two fumbles.

On the Football Team side, Heinicke had good moments, but terrible ones. There were two touchdowns thrown, 212 more yards and two interceptions. The rush game didn’t work out, with leading runner Antonio Gibson getting just 31 rushing yards. RB stood out as a receiver, with 73 yards after a reception and a beautiful touchdown.

In addition to Gibson, tight end Logan Thomas scored the franchise’s other touchdown.

The victory puts the Bills at the top of the AFC East with two wins and one loss. In week 4, the team from Buffalo welcomes the Houston Texans, on Sunday (3/10).

The Football Team, on the other hand, has reached its second defeat of the season and has only one victory. Seeking rehabilitation, the team faces the Atlanta Falcons, also next Sunday.

THE GAME

The first possession of the game was for the Buffalo Bills and the team started hard, already facing a third down for 15 yards. However, Josh Allen unleashed a great 23-yard pass to Gabriel Davis, keeping the team alive in the attacking field.

After the initial struggle, Buffalo picked up pace and the QB distributed good passes with his excellent receivers Stefon Diggs (13 yards) and Emmanuel Sanders (11 yards), and advanced into the opponent’s territory until he found the end zone in Allen’s pass. 28 yards to Sanders. After an extra kick converted by Tyler Bass, the Pennsylvania franchise opened 7-0.

The WFT did not make good progress. With the exception of the opening eight-yard run to JD McKissic, the team did not walk and return the ball with the punt.

The Bills got back on the attack and Allen started finding short passes for RB Zack Moss. In addition to Moss, the QB’s tuning with Sanders, Diggs and even Cole Beasley made the hosts advance well in the offensive field. However, while trying to convert a fourth down to two yards, the team suffered a turnover on downs and returned the ball to Washington.

Taylor Heinicke returned to the field again with his offense for another bad campaign. Tight end Logan Thomas fumbled, provoked by Tre’Davious White. Buffalo started another campaign and the first quarter ended.

Early in the second period, more points for the Bills. With a consistent campaign, Josh Allen took off a seven-yard pass for Zack Moss to score another touchdown for the hosts, who opened 14-0 after another shot converted by Bass.

Drama followed for Football Team with another disastrous campaign. Heinicke tried to pass and was intercepted by Jordan Poyer. With another turnover in his favor, Buffalo punished again, this time with Allen meeting Dawson Knox, with a beautiful reception in the end zone on a 14-yard pass: 21-0.

With a giant disadvantage on the scoreboard, the WFT went into despair and in a great pass from Heinicke to the then-disappeared running back Antonio Gibson, the visitors got a beautiful big play with RB running 73 yards after the reception to finally score a TD. After bonus kick, 21-7 on the scoreboard for the Bills.

To set fire to the match, kicker Dustin Hopkins kicked the kickoff and in a completely bizarre play, the kicker himself managed to retrieve the oval ball for the Football Team. Reviving the match, Heinicke ran into the end zone and scored the touchdown, making the deficit drop even further and the game going 21-14.

After a “snooze” in the match, Buffalo woke up and Allen returned to find good passes for his receivers. In the following campaign, excellent big play with 41 yards for Emmanuel Sanders and good field position for Tyler Bass converting a 21-yard field goal and putting a ten point advantage on the scoreboard: 24 to 14.

With one more punt from Washington before the end of the first half, Allen had enough time to connect good passes again and position his kicker for another shot, this time from 48 yards, and the teams went to the locker rooms with the home team winning by 27. to 14.

The WFT started the third period with another punt in a bad campaign. The Bills responded with another consistent drive and good passes from Allen to their receivers until they found the end zone once again, with Sanders. The team still tried to convert from two points, which was not successful: 33 to 14.

The visitors’ drama escalated when Heinicke threw in another interception, Micah Hyde’s pass and possession for the hosts once again, who this time scored another three points with Tyler Bass’s 29-yard shot. 36 to 14.

With a big disadvantage on the scoreboard, WFT went for all or nothing in the last quarter and in a fourth for a yard, couldn’t advance, once again delivering the ball to the rival in good field position. With tranquility and the score in their favor, the Bills managed another good campaign and Josh Allen came out of the pressure of the opposing defense to enter the end zone and increase the score to 43-14.

As the lights went out, there was still time for Heinicke to get a good run that ended with a TD from Logan Thomas, after a two-yard pass: End of game at Highmark Stadium with 43-21 for the Buffalo Bills.
