The Mauvezinian Judo-Club has resumed

The Judo-Club Mauvezinois has resumed its activities for about three months. Despite the constraints linked to the health crisis, the club notes, “and this to our greatest pleasure”, an evolution of its workforce compared to last season. It is indeed almost back to the level of the 2019-2020 season with around fifty licensees to date and this could still evolve. More than 20 children did not renew their licenses but around thirty new judokas came as reinforcements.

This year, the strongest evolution in the number of practitioners is within the group of adults and adolescents. This is made up of around twenty judokas over the age of 13, with young people aged 16 and 18 wanting to discover this discipline. A few others who were a bit older expressed their interest in this martial art and wanted to practice it in the club. It is a friendly and very motivated group “which would have been greatly appreciated by Nadia who left us prematurely a few months ago. We wish to have a moved thought for her family who is going through such a difficult ordeal”.

The different groups of students are very homogeneous and they are very diligent. The club also noted a change in the behavior of the children and “this is very positive. Is this due to the current difficulties? We do not have the answer but the observation is undeniable”.

The club has five leaders in its ranks who will be invited to the prefecture as soon as possible to be awarded the Youth and Sports medals, silver and bronze levels. This official recognition is important for volunteers who perpetuate the spirit of this club wanted by its creators in 1973.
