The man repeatedly looked at the 19-year-old US Open champion at her parents’ house in London for several weeks, leaving her unsolicited gifts there. Raducanu turned to the court because she “felt robbed of her freedom.”
According to the PA agency, the man is now not allowed to approach Raducanová or her parents, their house or the places where the tennis player will train or play for five years.
One of the unsolicited surprises the man had prepared for Raducan was decorating the tree in the front garden of her house with Christmas lights. Another time, he left a bouquet with a love message and a map on it, marking the 37 km long road he had walked to the house. He picked up a sneaker at her door that belonged to her father because he thought it belonged to Raducan and wanted to keep it as a souvenir.
