With the aim of nurturing the state table tennis team, the Hidalgo Association of this sport will begin holding exhibitions and invitation tournaments in two weeks, representatives from other states will be invited for better results, as reported by its president Luis Figueroa . (exclusive)
“We will start with tournaments little by little to integrate the athletes and encourage people to join the activities of the AHTM. For these activities we intend to invite the representatives of Querétaro and the State of Mexico to be able to carry out stops that help athletes both from home and abroad in their preparation.”
Along the same lines, with the return to classes, the Hidalgo Table Tennis Association is expected to approach educational institutions to hold exhibitions at their facilities and thus attract new talent for the state team.
On the other hand, he announced that in the invitation tournament organized by the Hidalgo Sports Institute, some athletes who had deserted due to the health contingency returned, today, they are reintegrated to resume the work that was being done with them.
The activities were positive, which is why he confirmed that they will continue along the same line to try to increase the number of tennis players in the state team as far as possible in a period of half a year.
