Almonte will give more power to the lineup of Monterrey because his power with the bat is not up for discussion. In his first stage with Sultanes, the Dominican had 268 hits, of which 35 were home runs to drive in 147 runs and finish with a percentage of .323.

The outfielder returns to Monterrey after passing through two of the most demanding leagues in baseball, such as the Japan League and the Korean Professional League, connecting more than 276 hits and 31 home runs in the Japanese league and 7 home runs in 60 matches with the KT Wiz from Suwon in South Korea.

Born in Santo Domingo, he also has experience in the big tent with the New York Yankees in the 2013 season.

With this incorporation, Sultanes already adds his fifth foreign player for the following season, forming one of the most respected offenses in the summer circuit, emerging as one of the strongest contenders for the title of the Mexican Baseball League, now under the command by Robert Kelly.
