The Ordiziarras lose 35-30 after leading 25-30 with ten minutes to go
Ampo Ordizia brushed the lead in Alcobendas with his fingers, but the end eluded him after losing 35-30. The Ordiziarras won 25-30 with ten minutes to go, but the locals turned the score around with a converted try in the 72nd minute and a penalty kick in the 78th that left Alcobendas in the lead and Ampo Ordizia with one point of bonus, but insufficient to assault the leadership.
Despite the defeat, the Ordiziarras played the best game away from Altamira of the entire season and had the powerful Alcobendas on the ropes. They even closed to 18-27 in the second half after trailing 18-13.
The game started with an early rehearsal by the locals, but the Ordiziarras did not lose face with two penalty kicks. The game was very even in that first half and both teams reached the break 15-13 after alternatives on the scoreboard. The second half began with a local drop to which Ampo responded immediately, scoring two attempts by Oubiña and Matoto, and their conversions, to go ahead 18-27. The last 30 minutes were of local pressure, which managed to turn the match around.
