Vladimir Klitschko enlisted in the Ukrainian army

Former heavyweight boxing champion Vladimir Klitschko has signed up with the Ukrainian army due to growing tensions in his native Ukraine.

The Ukrainian government is preparing for an immediate invasion of its neighbors after Russian President Vladimir Putin deployed almost 90,000 Russian troops on the border with Ukraine.

Atlanta Olympic champion Vladimir Klitschko did not deny the fighter’s heart and joined his country’s army reserves to defend his homeland if the situation escalated into total war.

According to The Guardian, the 45-year-old boxer said that he did so out of love for his homeland and his home. Nevertheless, thanks to his success, thanks to which he secured his material for life, he found the courage to stand up in the event of a war against Russia’s significant superiority.

“I entered as a reserve for the territorial forces, for the defense of the city of Kiev,” told the Guardian Ukrainian beat. He cited the current escalation of the conflict on the Ukrainian-Russian border as a reason.

“One county from here, my little girl goes to school,” he described how his situation in the East also affected. “The school is currently closed because the ambassadors sent the families home.” he talked about how his seven-year-old girl had lost her right to education.

“My love for my home, family, neighbors and daughter brought me into the army. I am now involved in the defense of this country, “ he described his bold motive.

Brother Vitaly will defend not only his homeland on the political scene, but he has also joined the army

Klitsch’s older brother Vitaly, who is also known for his successful boxing career, is currently the acting mayor of Kiev. However, after seeing his brother’s courage, he also decided to fight for his homeland.

I have no choice, I have to do it and I will fight, “said the former boxer and current politician, who recently celebrated his 50th birthday. Vitaly Klitschko said Kiev was under threat and the main priority was to work with police and military to support critical infrastructure, including electricity, gas and water supplies for its citizens.

“I believe in Ukraine, I believe in my country and I believe in my people,” added the elder of the famous brothers Vitaly.

Let us hope that both brothers will be a hope in diplomatic relations and that the threat of global sanctions against Russia by the Western powers will prevent a total war. Whatever the outcome, history will remember the courage of both fighters.
