Peruvian basketball takes the first step to restart activities in the country | News

The Working Group of the Peruvian Basketball Sports Federation (FDPB), reached its registration in the National Sports Registry (Renade), with which the activities of this sport in the country must be restarted with the support of the Peruvian Sports Institute (IPD), whose president is Julio Rivera Gonzales.

The Working Group is chaired by Omar Chirinos and in this way it was ready to conduct the elections in the governing body of national basketball.

The IPD published on the institutional website resolution 042-2022 IPD/DNCTD/SRND issued by the National Training Directorate of the IPD and the Sub-Directorate of RENADE, a document that orders registration in the Electronic Certificate FDN17-04-150130-08 of the Registry Nacional del Deporte, the designation of the Working Group of the Peruvian Basketball Sports Federation, in accordance with the provisions of the Board of Directors of the IPD through Resolution No. 016-2019-IPD-P/CD of February 26, 2019, for which You have 90 business days.

Peruvian basketball has been paralyzed for five years and now it will finally allow the grassroots leagues affiliated with the FDPB to democratically elect their representatives on the Board of Directors, whose first task will be to return the organization to the international circuit.
