MADRID (EFE).— The launch of “Nintendo Switch Sports” and the improvements and updates of “Mario Kart 8 Deluxe” lead the novelties that the Japanese giant will bring to the market in the first half of this year, as announced in the “Nintendo Direct” event.
One of the highlights with which Nintendo intends to break the mold is the readjustment of “Wii Sports”, one of the great successes of the Wii now designed for the hybrid device with the title “Nintendo Switch Sports”. It will be released on April 29.
“Wii Sports” was released in 2006 and was one of the pioneers in popularizing gesture control of movements, in addition to forcing players to get up from the sofa to simulate playing tennis, baseball and bowling, or boxing.
The “Switch Sports” will maintain that essence with the gyroscope of the Joy-Con controls that will detect the player’s movements in six disciplines: soccer, volleyball, bowling, tennis, badminton and chanbara.
In turn, “Mario Kart 8 Deluxe” continues to break records, with 93 million copies sold since it was launched on the market in 2017.
This year Nintendo will incorporate improvements and updates to the game, specifically 48 remastered circuits over six batches of eight tracks each. The first will be available on March 18.
