The Hawks defense took on water, conceding 43 points in the 1st quarter. Winner of eight of their previous nine home games, Atlanta found themselves trailing 73-56 at halftime by the Spurs who had won only three of their last ten games to sit 12th in the Western Conference. .

The five Hawks starters all posted a differential of … -30 points or worse at the end of this match, the big man of which was the back of San Antonio Dejounte Murray (32 points, 15 assists, 10 rebounds and 4 steals) . Clint Capela (-36 differential in 21′ spent on the floor) was still able to sign 13 points and 11 rebounds.
