A patrol of the Local Police of Modica was contacted this morning by a woman who, having to go to assist an elderly person, was worried since the man did not open.
The agents immediately alerted the firefighters and 118.
In the meantime, the elder’s brother showed up and opened the door of the house without forcing it.
The old man was on the floor, he had been taken ill the night before and was unable to get up again.
Inside the house there was also a perceptible smell of gas that the firefighters immediately resolved, coming from a stove that had been on all night.
The poor fellow was transferred from 118 to the hospital.
