Medals for Italy at the Sarajevo European Open 2022 awaiting the IBJJF European Championships in Rome

Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 February 2022 there was the Sarajevo European Open of judo in Bosnia and Herzegovina, where Italy participated with 14 athletes.

On Saturday the lighter categories competed: Luigi Brudetti (-73 kg), Thauany David Capanni Dias, Carlotta Advanced and Giulia Caggiano (-57 kg), Nicolle D’Isanto (-63 kg) while on Sunday it was the turn of the more heavy with: Luigi Pippa, Tiziano Falcone, Emanuele Bruno and Bright Maddaloni Nosa (-81 kg), Lorenzo Rigano (-90 kg), Enrico Bergamelli (-100 kg), Lorenzo Agro Sylvain (+100 kg) and Linda Politi (- 78 kg).

Italy has conquered one gold medal with Enrico Bergamelli (-100 kg)due medals silver with Thauany David Capanni Dias (-57 kg)still second year junior, e Linda Politi (-78 kg), three bronze medals with Giulia Caggiano (-57 kg), Tiziano Falcone (-81 kg) e Lorenzo Agro Sylvain (+100 kg) it’s a seventh place from Luigi Brudetti (-73 kg).

Thanks to these results theItaly she has arrived quinta (1-2-3-0-1) in the general classification out of 26 participating nations, behind Turkey (2-2-5-2-5), France (2-1-6-6-2), Spain (2 -1-0-2-2) and Germany (2-0-3-4-4).

European Cadet Cup a Lignano

The European Cadet Cup of judo was also held this weekend in Lignano Sabbiadoro where theItaly it is classified first out of 12 nations, on the podium with France and the Netherlands, thanks to 5 gold medals from Michela Terranova (-52 kg), Alberto Tripepi (-55 kg), Federico Bosis (-66 kg), Savita Russo (-57 kg), Serena Ondei (-70 kg)Everyone 7 silver medals from Rebecca Valeriani (-44 kg), Sofia Mazzola (-48 kg), Gaia Massimetti (-52 kg), Giulio Muzzi (-55 kg), Gaia Stella (-57 kg), Danilo Article (-73 kg) e Tommaso Perfetti (-81 kg)Everyone 9 bronze medals from Ilaria Finestrone (-48 kg), Francesco Sampino (-60 kg), Federico Ninfo and Rocco Capasso (both -66 kg), Aurelia Venditto (-57 kg), Serena Maddaloni and Stefania Pede (both -63 kg), Lucio Tavoletta and Salvatore Mazzola (-73 kg).

European IBJJF Jiu-Jitsu Championship 2022

Meanwhile, in a few days, from 15 to 20 February, there will be the IBJJF European Jiu-jitsu Championships in Ostia (Rm) at PalaPellicone where the FIGMMA Italian National Team will participate, formed by: Simone Auricchio and Rita Tana for the black belts, Rosario Cataldo for the brown belts, Guglielmo Cecca and Anastasia Tonelli for the purple belts, Alberto Dusi and Immacolata Facchineri for the blue belts, Carlo Spolaore and Sara Bortolamiol for the white belts.
