Artūrs Karašauskas will play at the Optibet Virslīga club in Liepāja, the club announced on his Twitter account on Friday. “Officially: Karašauskas is returning to Liepāja,” the statement said. In June 2021, Karašauskas agreed to play for the Cypriot team of Ethnikos, represented by Igor Tarasov.

Although it was reported that the contract was concluded until 2023, the information from “transfermarkt.com” shows that the footballer has joined the Liepāja club as a free player. Before that, in 2021, Karašauskas stood out with ten goals in ten Super League games. In the 2020 season, Karašauskas scored eight goals in 19 games, which was the second best result among Latvian footballers. He assisted in six more goals and was the sixth best player in the Premier League.

The Latvian striker “Liepāja” also represented in 2017 and 2018, helping it to win the Latvian Cup twice. In Latvia, he has also represented the “Riga” team, being leased to him from the Cyprus club “Paphos”, where he arrived from another domestic unit RFS, without taking any matches to the second club in the capital. Karašauskas spent a large part of his career in the already bankrupt Riga “Skonto” team, however, he has also repeatedly worked as a legionnaire and has been in Ukraine, Russia, Poland, Switzerland and Kazakhstan. “Liepāja” is a bronze medalist of the Latvian Championship.

Croatian midfielder Tins Vukmaničs has joined the Latvian football championship RFS for a probationary period, RFS reports on his Twitter account on Friday. RFS is currently in a training camp in Turkey. “In Turkey, 22-year-old Croatian midfielder Vukmanich, who already played in our club in 2019, has joined the team for the test,” the club reports.

The club recalls the goal of the midfielder in the 2019/2020 UEFA European League match in Ljubljana against the local “Olympia”, when Vukmanic won the Riga club with a 3: 2 victory during the match. In the sum of two games he had to make concessions with 3: 4.

At that time, the player was rented by RFS Jūrmala “Spartaks”. Since February 2020, the footballer has played in various clubs in Belarus. In the Latvian championship, he has scored five goals in 23 games and scored three times, but in the Belarusian championship, Vukmanich has scored one result in 22 matches.
