FC Bayern is allowed to play in front of 25,000 spectators

Just last week, the upper limit for spectators for major events in the Free State of Bavaria was raised to 15,000. As has now become known, the Bavarian cabinet has passed further corona relaxations.

For large cultural and sporting events in Bavaria, a participant limit of a maximum of 25,000 spectators applies from Thursday. This was officially decided by the Bavarian state government today. This means that FC Bayern will play in front of significantly more spectators in the home game against Greuter Fürth next Sunday than against RB Leipzig, when 10,000 fans were allowed. The top game against the Saxons was the first game with fans for the record champions since the end of November.

New record in the Bundesliga

With the new spectator cap in Bavaria, FCB currently has the highest spectator capacity in the Bundesliga. This is currently between 8,000 and 15,000 spectators. Last weekend Leipzig set the record with 15,000 spectators in their home game against Cologne.
