The International Tennis Federation (ITF) will not organizeany tournament in Belarus this year “because of Russian aggression against Ukraine” and the support of the government of Aleksandr Lukashenko to it, the agency announced in a statement on Monday.

“We are constantly monitoring the tournaments and are in discussions with the ITF tennis family and security experts,” the ITF noted. “We are with the people of Ukraine. Right now, our priority remains safety of everyone who participates in our tournaments”, he added.
Last Friday, the governing body of world tennis decided indefinitely cancel all tournaments in Russia and postponed the event World Tennis Tour M15 that should be played in Ukraine in April due to “heightened security concerns.”
