The Continental Hockey League (KHL) club in Riga “Dinamo” has terminated cooperation with defenders Kārlis Čuksti and Miku Tumānovs, the unit’s website reported.

The announcement states that the contracts have been terminated until the end of the season, which most likely means that both will continue this season in other teams, but will return to the disposal of the Riga Club in the off-season.

Čukste have played in 34 games this season, marking two assists and a negative efficiency of -3. Meanwhile, Tumānovs has played in three leagues this season – he has six matches in “Dinamo”, 12 – in the youth hockey league (MHL) team “Riga”, and 18 – in the “Optibet” hockey league (OHL) team “Zemgale / LLU”.

It has previously been reported that KHL has decided not to continue the main event, as a result of which the teams that do not enter the “play-off” will give the players the opportunity to extend the season. Foreman Gunārs Skvorcovs, who will continue his career in the Danish unit Odense “Bulldogs”, as well as defender Kristaps Zīle, who has become a member of Rodrigo Ābola’s team in “Orebro”, have left “Dinamo”. Nikolai Yeliseev, one of the leaders of the team’s attack, will probably go to Sweden.

After the best season of his career, the Swedish team is interested in Jeliseev in the ranks of “Dinamo”
