The Kazan Judo Grand Slam, scheduled for May 20-22 in Russia, was canceled by the IJF on Friday. The International Judo Federation took this decision in view of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict.
“We are saddened by the current situation, which is the result of a lack of dialogue at the international level“, wrote the IJF in a press release. The judo family hopes for a quick resolution of the conflict, a return to normalcy and stability in Eastern Europe and the rest of the world.“
